We all have days when doubt creeps in, and we must dig deep for some confidence. Let’s talk about how to do this!

I wanted to write about this topic because I struggle with this myself sometimes, and I know many of my friends often do as well. 

Confidence is contagious so let’s spread it around together. Here are some simple ideas to boost your confidence that can be applied to a business meeting, a work phone call, a job interview, a school interview, or any time you have to speak in front of people (public speaking can be so scary.) There are many examples of moments when we need that boost. Sometimes before recording a Podcast interview, I have to talk myself out of being nervous. Confidence is key to living your best life. Here are some other ideas to help you build and maintain confidence.

Believe in Yourself: Trust your abilities and value your worth. Recognize your strengths and focus on your achievements.

Positive Self-Talk: Replace self-doubt with affirmations. Speak to yourself kindly and encourage yourself as you would a friend.

Set Realistic Goals: Break down big goals into smaller, manageable steps. Celebrate each accomplishment along the way.

Body Language: Stand tall, make eye contact, and smile. Your posture can convey confidence and influence how others perceive you. 

Learn from Failure: View setbacks as opportunities to grow and get better. Think about what went wrong and use it as a learning experience for future success. 

Surround Yourself with Support: Seek out people who uplift and encourage you. Their positivity can boost your confidence and provide valuable feedback.

Celebrate Successes: Acknowledge your achievements, no matter how small. Celebrating success reinforces your confidence and motivates you to keep going.

Maintaining Confidence: When you’re feeling confident, continue to practice these strategies to keep it going. Remember that confidence is a journey, not a destination.
