Having skin cancer means learning about safe sun protection the hard way. I wish I had done some things differently in my younger years, but here we are. One thing that really helps protect us from the sun is wearing a hat. My amazing dermatologist at Yale, Dr. David Leffell, advises wearing a wide brim hat.

What a roller coaster ride it’s been for everyone these past 12 months, but I truly feel now that better days are just around the corner.
