Skin Cancer Journey

skin cancer treatment update

Our skin is our largest organ, so let’s all take good care of it! Thank you to the team of top dermatologists who are helping to save my skin — GOOD NEWS. I’m sharing my skin cancer journey to help remind us to wear sunscreen and sun hats and to get our skin checked often.

skin cancer dr Leffell

Here are some tips from Dr. David Leffell at Yale University, who is one of the best-known dermatologists in the country. I’m so grateful to be his patient. He recently did another surgery on my face. I have been going to him for my skin cancer surgeries since 2013.

Niacinamide

Dr. Leffell also recommends taking Niacinamide (a form of Vitamin B) for skin cancer prevention and I am going to give it a try! Watch below, I hope all of his advice is helpful.

I wish I had heard his advice when I was younger. The severe sunburns I had in my childhood are all now catching up to me. Here’s to staying safe in the sun this spring and summer.

Thank you for hearing more about my skin cancer journey.
