Happy summer! It’s official, summer 2020 is here and it will be quite different for most of us this year. Due to the COVID pandemic, our summer plans have changed several times already forcing our family to embrace the changes and go with the flow for the sake of health and safety.
A change of scenery is much needed these days, so my hope for all of us is that we all get that much-needed getaway (safely). We recently drove to the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia to visit family, and we had a great time going away. There are no travel or visiting restrictions in Virginia right now, which is good news. I think we all really needed to get out of our house and reconnect with other family members for a few days!
The weather was beautiful there, so we spent most of our time enjoying the water and being outdoors. My hope for all of us is we can still try to have some fun this summer despite everything going on. We are looking to get away again later this summer, so please let me know if you have any good suggestions for our family within driving distance from Connecticut.
My favorite season is summer, so here’s to brighter days ahead!
