Sunscreen, sunscreen and more sunscreen. Yes, I am crazy about sunscreen!

For those who know me probably know that I have skin cancer, so wearing sunscreen is a must for me!  All day, every day—no matter if you’re just out running errands, taking a walk outside, heading to the park with your kids, or going to the pool or the beach. Putting on sunscreen is second nature to me and my children—I don’t leave my house without it!

Now you may be saying to yourself, “I am all for sunscreen, but I just hate how it’s sticky and leaves white residue behind. Plus, it doesn’t work well under makeup.” If that’s your concern, then I have just the solution you’re looking for.

Keep in mind, not all sunscreens are designed the same. Many of them, in fact, can actually cause more harm than good. How, you may ask? Because sunscreen companies such as Banana Boat, Coppertone, CVS and Neutrogena (to name a few) contain chemical sun blockers like oxybenzone, which soaks through skin, triggers allergic skin reactions, and may cause hormone disruptions. These types of toxins are found in spray and powder sunscreens, so stay away from those as well (more on this topic to come on a later post).

If you want to stay protected, which I HIGHLY recommend that you do (for the safety of you and your loved ones), then here are some safe sunscreen options you can test out for yourself.

 

Protect All Over Sunscreen SPF 30
