My Cousin Knows Best

Green Smoothie Recipe

I hope you’ve all been listening each week to my “Nina’s Got Good News” podcast. If not, what are you waiting for—subscribe here! Thank you to so many of you who are supporting my podcast movement to share good news.

This week on a brand new episode, my beautiful cousin Lisa Cummings stopped by to share so much of her goodness with everyone. She is a Certified Health and Nutrition Coach, and a Detox and Wellness Expert. In my opinion, once you know her, you just want to listen to everything she shares. In other words, my cousin knows best!

Green SmoothieI wanted to share with you all her go-to green smoothie recipe (below) that she recommends drinking daily. Lisa says there are so many health benefits to this smoothie, plus it tastes yummy too.

• 2 cups cold spring water
• 6 cups raw spinach (a couple handfuls)
• 5 cups romaine (about 3-4 spears)
• 2 stalks celery, broken into chunks
• 1 apple (cored and chopped-no need to peel)
• 1 pear (cored and chopped-no need to peel)
• 1 frozen banana
• 1 fresh squeezed lemon
• 1 small chunk of fresh ginger (optional)
• Blend everything in a blender or Vitamix until it is completely smooth, no chunks. This makes one LARGE smoothie so depending on your hunger levels, feel free to enjoy half of it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach and save the rest for a a snack later in the day. I would not keep in fridge longer than a day.

Lisa CummingsYou can reach out to Lisa for a FREE consult too. She really knows so much and it is worth connecting with her.

Please get in touch with me with all your feedback on the podcast (aka my third baby), and any ideas you have for future episodes too. I am so grateful we are growing every single week.

For now, cheers to sharing good news with our green smoothies!

xoxo NBC
